Supporting moms shouldn’t burn you out

We help IBCLCs make a bigger impact and reclaim their time

We know how vital lactation care is to moms, and we’re here to help you do your work better—without the overwhelm. Whether it’s streamlining your processes, mastering sales and marketing, or building a sustainable practice, we’ve got the tools and resources to support you every step of the way.

Hey there ibclc!

Welcome to Your Space to Thrive

I’m Amber Ginn, founder and CEO of The Latch Link and the founder, CEO and head IBCLC at IBCLC On Demand. I built these platforms with a vision: to provide incredible resources for moms and to revolutionize the way IBCLCs run their practices.

After years of working as an IBCLC, I saw the same story repeated over and over—dedicated, passionate consultants feeling stuck in hospital or clinical settings they didn’t love, overwhelmed by the thought of private practice, or simply not earning what they deserved. I knew there had to be a better way, and I set out to create it.

Now, I’ve built two thriving businesses that allow me to support moms across the country while running a sustainable, profitable practice on my own terms. Through The Latch Link , I’m here to help you do the same. We offer courses, business coaching for IBCLCs and lots more.

Because, we deserve more than burnout and undervaluation. You’re an expert, and with the right tools and strategies, you can build a business that reflects that. Let me show you how.

Questions about thriving as an IBCLC? We’ve got answers!

Attracting clients doesn’t have to feel daunting. Many IBCLCs find success by combining proven marketing strategies with authentic relationship-building. Creating an online presence that showcases your expertise and partnering with local birth professionals can help you connect with clients who need your support.

At The Latch Link , we make this easier by teaching IBCLCs how to use prebuilt website themes and optimize their online presence with simple, actionable SEO strategies, so you can spend less time marketing and more time helping moms.

Standing out in the lactation field starts with identifying your unique strengths. Whether it’s a specialized focus, exceptional client care, or a strong online presence, showcasing what makes you unique will help you attract the clients who value what you offer.

Our branding workshops at The Latch Link are designed to help you define and showcase your strengths, making it easier for moms to find and choose you.

Balancing client care and running a business is easier with the right systems in place. Tools for scheduling, charting, and billing can free up your time, allowing you to focus on what matters most: helping moms and babies. Implementing these tools can transform how your practice runs day-to-day.

That’s why we’ve created resources like done-for-you workflows and practical guides to help IBCLCs streamline their businesses without the overwhelm.

The right tools can take the stress out of billing and insurance. Software like JaneApp or MilkNotes helps streamline the claims process, reduce errors, and ensure you’re paid on time. Leveraging these tools can make billing a seamless part of your practice.

At IBCLC.com, we’ve compiled reviews of the top billing tools, offer practical advice to help you choose the best option for your practice, and can connect you with a specialized billing team that works exclusively with IBCLCs.

Navigating insurance credentialing can feel overwhelming, but it doesn’t have to be. Step-by-step guidance and a clear understanding of the process can simplify credentialing, allowing you to reach more clients and offer accessible, insurance-covered care.

With The Latch Link , you’ll find step-by-step guides and insider tips to navigate the credentialing process smoothly and efficiently. We also have a insurance/billing partner who can take care of credentialing for you.

Rebooking clients is about showing the value of continued support. Gentle reminders, personalized follow-up plans, and clear communication about the benefits of additional sessions can help moms see the importance of ongoing care for their breastfeeding journey.

We provide email templates and client retention strategies to help IBCLCs build lasting relationships and ensure moms get the support they need.
